THE TRUE ROLE MODEL

You don’t have to follow
The shallow ways of man
They can only take you so far
Never farther than Jesus can

It’s ok to have someone positive
In your life to look up to
But when you really need them the most
Will they remain true to you

If you’re looking for someone
That you can truly follow
Look to Jesus
Because He’s the true Role Model

Do you know anyone else
That will be there through thick and thin
Then allow me to suggest
Putting your trust in Him then

What do you really have to lose
Nothing would be my guess
Come on give Him a try
I guarantee you’ll be blessed

Hey I tried following man
Only to no avail
I had to separate myself
Because I was on my way to hell

Well I didn’t want to go there
So I had to drop the zero
Then I was divinely connected
To a real true hero

Didn’t He give His life for you?
I know you know it’s true
Come on now, let’s be real
What else do you want Him to do?

He’s proven to the whole world
That His love is just and true
He was brutally beaten and nailed to a cross
Because of His love for me and you

The power of life and death
Remains in His hand
For me I will never go back
To the shallow ways of man

So I pose this question to you again
What do you really have to lose?
I promise you, you won’t regret it
It can’t be that hard of a choice, so choose

Well when you’re sick and tired of searching
And need a true leader to follow
Then call upon the name of Jesus
Because He’s the one and only
TRUE ROLE MODEL.
