A twisted poem based off another about why I write and how I see my impact on others.

Looking
Back at me
Judging eyes
So they seem
Victims to be
All of them
Unified
In dream
Wondering
Is this the truth
Reality
Is all they know
Individuality
A scheme
They want
No part of
Dare they not
Question this
They believe
Blindly I’ll add
Who is
The greater fool
Them or I
Judging eyes
Upon this soul
What am I
Going to do
And why
Am I
Doing it
To them
They don’t
Never could they
Deserves as much
And they are
Certain of it
Am I mad
Am I insane
Inflicting such
Pseudo pain
My God
Upon the page
To it
I’m enslaved
I write
What they won’t
I push myself
To the edge
And take them
If need be
Dragging them
With me
If they hesitate
If they refuse
To peer off
Into the blackness
If they won’t see
What it is
That I must
Show them
Subtle will be
The shove
Downward
They will go
Into an endless pool
Of nothingness
Into a swirling abyss
Of absolution
They’ll survive
The fall
But they won’t
Live to rise again
The damage
Will be done
The pain
Will be a greater sum
Then everything before
They won’t escape
They won’t get away
I’ve been where
They have gone
I alone
Have returned
To tell the tale
To live the tragedy
These words
Are not lines
These words
Are not rhymes
These words
As one
And as every other
Are a form of resistance
My method of fighting
The end of all things
Most of all myself
And all else who
Stand at the very edge
They want to know
So I’ve told them
The price is equal
But collected separately
By dueling entities
Living inside of me
Looking
Back at me
Judging eyes
They see
What they wish
And show them
What they need
For a time
They find balance
Between the two
But sooner
Rather than later
I’ll push them
Shoving them
Off kilter
Downward they’ll go
Into the nothing
I have always known…
