A literate poem
I crawled in lassitude
A prisoner of my past
A slave to my sin
The blade my salvation
The blood my relief
My vision congested with ignorance
I hung my head to die

As I took my last breath
I was ambushed by an angel
I was blindsided by beauty
Relief overcame me
I smiled

You were the most beautiful thing I had ever seen
You were my closest friend
You were my wildest fantasy
You were what my world revolved around
You were my everything

I could only crawl but you showed me to stand
You removed the blindness from my eyes
I put down the blade and I took your hand
I followed you in full faith

I fell to my knees before you
I wrapped my arms around your waist
Right then I gave you all my love
All my trust
All my dreams
All my happiness
I gave you everything
Then you put a gun to my heart
And pulled the trigger
