You will know when it is not love....
The flower slowly dies after it is plucked
It aches for the warmth of the soil
Soil which gave it food, a lifeline to survive
It remembers how it danced in the rain in good old days
The flower slowly dies after it is plucked
Then it is not love

The river does flow but changes direction all of a sudden
The ocean awaits the arrival of the river
Her sweetness merging into him, they would be one
You can’t differentiate the two such is the union
The river does flow but changes direction all of a sudden
Then it is not love

You don’t look at the tree in winters
The tree that gave you shade & fresh fruit in summers
You thanked the tree endless times when it gave you comfort
You learnt lessons, slept for long under its nurturing bed
You don’t look at the tree in winters
Then it is not love

The moon hides but the sky needs its light
Hides behind the clouds, it refuses to come out
The sky counts moments until for a single glimpse after the whole day
The moon’s silvery glow, it waited to bath in
The moon hides but the sky needs its light
Then it is not love

She waits in the hollow of the night, her eyes aching to see them in yours
Alone, those arms around her aren’t
You provide a blanket of fancy words so cold
Promises unkept, feelings that like seasons come and go
She waits in the hollow of the night, her eyes aching for a glimpse
Then it is not love
