Meant to convey the feeling of longing for an unrequited love or loves passing
And the wind blows. . .

Softly, full of the warmth of a spring day.
Sweet smells of newly cut grass and flowers
Hitch a ride
And fly. . . .

And the wind blows.
Stronger than before,
As if she wants to play.
Begging me to spread my arms like wings,
Hitch a ride
And fly!

And wind blows. . .
Same as she always does.
Rain or shine. Night or day.
Whether or not my broken heart can join her and
Hitch a ride
And fly.

And wind blows.
Gently, regardless of me, she doesn’t know
There is no joining her.
My earthbound feet cannot
Hitch a ride
And fly!

And the wind blows!
Teasing me now she whirls and spins aloft!
Testing her strength and agility, limitless she gales as howls
Hitch a ride
And fly!

And the wind blows.
She tenderly caresses me, drying my longing tears.
If only I could hold her, for a moment! My sighs
Hitch a ride
And fly.

And the wind blows.
Ever and onward she must continue, never to rest on Earth.
Gentle is her laugh and cruel is her fury, as on to heaven
I hitch a ride
And fly!

And the wind blows. . . .
