About love that didn't work out
Suck the last words from my breath
Like the last hope from my heart
Taking my mind all apart
Destruction that you call art

Insolvent dreams that we had
Life blood slowly going bad

If ever you meant what you said
Now words that left your mouth dead
And left me standing alone
Empty and alone

Where is love when you need it
When your soul is bleeding
Compassion receding
Love has no heart
