Recieved help from a friend to stop self-injury for what I hoped would be forever.
"Doing the Impossible"
(8/7/01 - 17 years old)

I have done the impossible;
What I said I couldn't do.
I got the courage in no other way
Than by just thinking about you.

Fully clothed I feel so naked,
Without what is not here.
So, now I must think the thoughts,
Live through the pain and through the fear.

I know I will get through this
Without running to the store.
I'll write, talk, listen, help others,
But will never, ever go buy more.

Friends and family and all that
May remind me on the way
To keep on going and to stick
To the promise I made to me today.

So, in advance I thank you all
For any help to me you give
And because, as you may know,
Its often for you guys that I live.

And I must appologize
For the times I yell or scream.
I know you're only helping,
But, I get so scared and can be mean.

I'm truly looking forward
To a life without SI
I'm still surprised that I am proud of me
For beginning again to really try.

Hello new life of mine
I welcome this beginning.
I've done something impossible
And truly I am winning.
