poem about my reality
FINALLY I SEE I AM NOT
Blank drawing a blank
Hopes dashed tears falling breath raspy
Finally I see I am not
I went to work this morning
I looked just like the other people did
I did the same job
I ate the same lunch
But I left feeling like I was less

Finally I see I am not
At home I have waiting
A man that is not the best
But he is there
He makes me mad
He makes me cry
He makes me eat
He keeps me in heat
But as of yet
The ring is there and is not there
Which means it isn't there
But he be thinking
He asks questions like
Where I want to get married
How do I want to do it
When do I want to do it
Would I wear a dress
Stuff like that

Finally I am not
I am not the one
Who is always last to arrive
Last to know
Last to find love
Last to be
No longer always a laughing stock because I am the last

Now I am the first
The last
And the only!
