Poem for the feelings of having to leave at the end of a long distance relationship visit.
Floating above the sea of clouds,
Watching the waves roll and crash for miles.
Sitting completely alone in the craft,
Stopping to think of you awhile.

Closing my eyes tight,
Feeling your hand against mine.
Seeing you slip away from my touch,
Drowning without you as my lifeline.

Gazing down beneath the sea,
Knowing you are lost in shadows below.
Thinking of you all alone,
Wishing I did not have to go.
