Lunch Out

“OK,” Randy said holding the bill, “Jared, your part is forty-five dollars…”
Everyone looked at Randy in shock.

“That sounds a bit high…” said Jared.

"I can prove it."

“Then prove it.” Jared said stubbornly.

“OK, there’s six of us, six times seven is forty-two, four plus two is six which leaves the seven. Seven times forty-two is two nine four which added together is fifteen. Fifteen is a one and a five, added together that’s the six, so you have the six and the seven, forty-two, add tip… forty-five.”

“Oh, well… that’s not much of a tip though…

“No worries, we’ll each leave three-dollars.”

“Fine.” Jared said, leaving forty-five dollars on the table, “I need to hit the men’s room, meet you all back at the car.”

Everyone looked at Randy, “That was amazing! He’s paying for everybody’s lunch and we're paying, what just three bucks?? How did you get him to fall for that?”

“He had two martinis at the bar while we were waiting for a table. I know Jared, he can’t handle two martinis.”

“Won’t he figure it out later?”

“He never has before….”
