This piece was made for me to vent and get all my hidden feelings out in the air.

Introduction:

The Unforgettable Dream is a book full of poems composed by the author Tyelyn Christian, This poems will be divided into each topic ranging from Family and Divorce to Death and Love. The Unforgettable Dream is something Tyelyn wants people to look upon even after his days on the earth have been up. This book was made in mind to help others find a sense of sanity in a cruel and heartless world or to find more joy and happiness in their sane world, and also to protect those in a joy and happy world from being in a cruel and heartless world. All people are made in different ways and fashions so we think differently. Mr. Christian's poems are not made to understand in one way because then it wouldn't be a poem. He makes poems so that everyone can take a piece and apply that piece into their own life and then we can so often work together again.

"Papa"

His drunken eyes filled with rage and self- hatred,
The way he acts scared everyone including himself,
We didn't know any person could be like this, but he proved them wrong.
From his constant rants about killing himself,
To the time he came home and put a gun to my mother's head,
I knew it was no more love for him from me,
I continue thinking in my mind.
How can a man do that to his own family...
How can a man do that of a vile nature to his own children...
How can a man disrespect his wife and forsake his principle...
Now I look at him with those eyes and now they are not drunken,
I still am filled with all that anger I was forced to swallow and,
Now it seems I don't belong anymore like i'm from another time.

"Why"

Why?
Why can't I play outside with friends?
Why can't I go to after school programs?
Why do I have to suffer because you chose to have me at 15?
Why do I have to go hungry because you didn't get an education?
Why do I have to hear countless acts of bickering when I should be sleeping?
Why did you screw up my life because my life even started?
Why is it normal for us to talk about killing each other?
Why is it normal for you to smoke drugs and for me to sell them?
Why?
Why I ask is the same thing I repeat in my brain as new thoughts come to mind...

"Don't"

Don't block him
Don't ignore when he's talking to you,
Don't block him out when he's giving you a plan,
Don't interfere with a plan already made by him,
Don't try to become him, only him can be him
Don't try to do different that what he has already set for you,
Don't feel like you're alone he's here
Don't believe he doesn't come he always comes on time
Don't believe he doesn't love you
Don't believe he doesn't care for you
Don't
Don't

"We Found Out"

We Found Out
We Found Out he's been lying to us for a decade
We Found Out he almost had a kid
We Found Out he made a woman do something unnatural
We Found Out his family's history
We Found Out why his dad uses guns
We Found Out why his mom drinks and steals
We Found Out why his grandma is so strict
We Found Out why his grandpa cheats
We Found Out he is just like them but wrapped in all one person

Remembrance

I Remember you coming home with a broken back,
I Remember you dropping off at school every morning,
I Remember the life lessons you gave us,
I Remember how you told us to never give up,
I Remember the first time I saw you get mad,
I Remember the smile on your face when you had your first grandchild,
I Remember the meals you continued after decades and decades,
I Remember how we cried when Pop died,
I Remember how we felt when Nana died,
I Remember the smile on your face when you realized you were finally old,
I Remember you telling us you were ready to go home,
I Remember hearing you explain for the millionth time how you want your funeral to go,
I Remember when you got sick,
I Remember when I got the call you passed and I cried for days,
I Remember when I finally got the urge to stop crying and breathe
I Remember all the times people told me you were going to be ok
Tick-Tock Around the Clock

Tick Tock Around the Clock!
As I wait for the bus to finally reach my bus stop,
Beep Beep!
I finally see it running down the street and stopping right in front of me,
I got on and realized I was the last stop,
We went down the highway, until I saw both hands were facing down on the clock,
Until, we came to a full stop,
BANG! BOOM!
The engine went to a sudden pop,
I said "crap",
The bus driver said the bus only needed a slap,
Tick Tock Around the Clock!

Mrs. Jamison

Mrs. Jamison
I love you Mrs. Jamison with your crispy brown skin and slick attitude,
The way you move throughout the classroom,
And the way you sing you have a voice that doesn't require auto-tune,
The way you explain how atoms can come together and make a single BOOM!,
Mrs. Jamison,
Nobody is greater at what you do than you,
Your heart is pure and your jokes are hilarious,
Nonstop flowing energy throughout the classroom,
Nobody is greater at entertaining a room than you,

All I Have...

All I Have is my voice and personality,
All I Have is my overwhelming niceness and character
All I Have is my sense of fashion
All I Have is my razor-sharp wit
All I Have is my 5 senses
All I Have is my faith
All I Have is my friends
All I Have is my family
All I Have is my bible
All I Have is my love for music
All I Have is myself in this world....
What do you have???
