A shakespearean sonnet
A brother, mother and son lock their possessions
To the prolonged dark of night.
When the star awakens them, they will realize their concession
To the human conditionā€™s darkest plight.
Innocence blooms when sheets are worn.
Their minds take leave
To a land where reality is torn.
What is it that grants them reprieve?
A piece of metal is now their shield
To unknown fears that are cast unaware.
They donā€™t take joy in their yield,
Yet they can't go bare
To the prolonged dark of night
And the human conditionā€™s darkest plight.
