This is for my son Brandon.
Brandon, when you were young
I had a wish,

I wanted you to get married
but you can't,

When I see you play alone,
I just want to lay my head down and cry,

I try to be strong for you
till it turns to night,

You make me smile
When I am dying inside myself,

I need to laugh more
but you always find ways to
make me happy again,

Late at night, when its all quiet
I look at your face,
all those dreams will never come true,

I love you just the way you are
and you will always be in my heart.

I realize you have autism
its not going to stop you
from being who you are.

Why do people have to be so mean
that I have to tell them to be kind.

If you have a relative or you know someone who have
a child or adult child with autism, please pass the word that these
kids are harmless and I know my son Brandon is harmless because
I have dealt with him his whole life and Yes, he's still with me.
