Girls final wish to be free.
She stood at the edge of the cliff contemplating as she looked at their kingdom,
whether or not the birds knew of their freedom.
Did they mock her as she stood chained to the ground?
Without wings to defy the ties that kept her bound?
Did they laugh or cry at her feeble attempts,
to not define herself by the rules placed upon her by those she held in contempt?
Oh, how she wished she could fly.
To soar high above the clouds, to be nothing more than an indistinguishable speck against the bright blue skies.
Where she would be no one but herself, without hesitation, without question.
Only the rules of nature to tame her fiery heart, wild and raging.
The winds whipped around her, inviting her to join their dance.
From afar a storm was approaching, and she knew it would be her very last chance.
When the wind started howling and she finally felt free,
she closed her eyes, took one last breath and leaped…
