Existential pain
In sleep, I dream
Of joy,
Of hope,
Of pleasures....
Nightmare.
The fear rises,
Hot
Sickening

Into Dawn,
Our hazy twilight.
The moon fades,
The stars glow faint,
With hope?

With light

Heat

The Sun rises.

With Dawn, I wake
Fevered
Blinded
Alive.
Shadows stand still,
Under the Sun,
Beautiful.
Terrifying.

Sunlight remains,
Above us all,
I am awake,
I do not dream
I see
Dawn.
Burning my eyes.
No more sleep.
No more dreams.

The light burns, but still we look
Beauty?
Warmth?
I cannot see.
My shadow stands still,
Under the Sun.

It is scorching
I cry
I scream
Is it beautiful?
Is it terrifying?

I
Cannot
See

With red hot flame, I weep
I despair
I curse
What is this.
Why is this.
Must it be?

It is everything.

It is nothing.

The light remains,
I cannot seeā€¦..

With the Dawn, I burn
And wish for ash.
