A poem about betrayal.
HURT
A raging fire burning in my bones,
Questioning myself and everyone around me.
Who can I trust,
Who will help me?
Does everyone hid behind a mask of shallow pride,
And swim in a river of deep lies?
How will I know?
How can I ever know?
The solution is simple.
Trust can be broken,
So I must never trust again.

PAIN
So much rage,
Fire,
Death,
And destruction.
Most people associate pain with these.
But,
Pain is so much more.
In this fleeting moment, pain is everything.
Every breath I take is pain.
Every thought like shards of glass,
Whose sole purpose is to make my brain bleed.
People know nothing of pain,
Until they experience the soul crushing pain
Of betrayal.
They should be glad.
For this pain,
Is like the fiery flames of hell,
Licking up pain,
Like a substance,
That oozes from my heart.

DENIAL
They can't have done this,
Right?
I can trust them.
I've always trusted them.
Why should I stop now?
Was it really even them?
How can I know?
If it was them,
It will be the deepest betrayal.
It shall be as Brutus was Caesar.
A brutal stab in the back by a,
Trusted friend.
