This poem comes from a place in between self-centered thoughts and objective realizations.
Monoliths Strewn across the lands.
I, stranded
outside the reach of the
longest shadow,
an unforgiving sun
burn through
my naked skin
to the heart of my heart.

The wars unwaged weigh heavy
regrets fester,
eldritch stories
come to become legend
on tombs
of the unforgiven catacombs.

Mummified regrets, strewn
across the stars.
No escape
only dark of the dark
holding up reveries of hope,
tenuous reality, unraveling fast.
