Halloween poem
Oh No, Help!!

There is something about this particular night.
The chill of the October air,
Up and down the streets children roam,
dressed up in strange costumes brandishing flashlights,
the words "trick-or-treat" can be heard from all directions.
Outside my bowl is pandemonium,
but inside, I sit and wait.
Every once in awhile I get shuffled around in my bowl.
I am beginning to feel apprehensive.
What happens if I get picked up?
Do I really want to be picked up?
I mean I have it good in this bowl,
I know my place and am secure here.
Then excitement overcomes me and I wonder
what life holds for me outside my bowl.
What am I missing out on?
Once again I hear "trick-or-treat.
But this time I am picked up.
Anxiety overcomes me.
What is going to happen to me?
Then something very strange happens.
My wrapper which has always clothed me in security is removed.
slowly I am lifted closer to a mouth with huge, chomping teeth.
I now know my fate.
I am about to be eaten.
OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
