Never forget- For Daily Poem
I’ll never forget how you made her feel.
Everything she told me-
like you were her dream come true.

But then you drew a butterfly.
Adding arms and legs,
claiming it’d be better,
because that’s how they should look.
At least, to you.

Except “should” doesn’t always work
even if it’s “better”.

Now I see how it is,
with the crimson trail
haunting us all,
because how it is
can never be like how it was.
