It's based on my mom's experience when she first saw me and how she sees me 18 yrs later.

Your Smile

  • YoAn

You smiled as your eyes caught mine,

A gasp escaping my lips.

Never had I seen something so beautiful!

Something so tiny, innocent and utterly dependent;

You were capable of making the strong go weak.

You smiled as your eyes caught mine,

A sigh escaping my lips.

Never had someone brightened my life like you!

Someone wrapped in a bundle still looking like an angel;

You were capable of making the weak go strong.

You still smile as your eyes catch mine,

A smile escaping my lips.

Never will I not cherish those nine months!

Someone who's eighteen going on nineteen;

You are capable of making me weak and strong, together.
