An ode to the dreams of youth
Lost Boys and Golden Girls

A life viewed through a looking glass,
to Wonderlands beyond
Where Alice larks and Peter laughs,
and lost children abscond

They make their way through Labyrinths
From Kansas, gales charge
Woods lined bright with hyacinths
100 acres... large

With yellow bricks to Neverland,
adjoining towers green
Where fairies fly and wizards stand,
within an emerald dream

Lands of once upon a time,
such Treasure Islands sailed
Where happy ever afters rhyme
with cautionary tales

Weaved through so ethereal
In narratives, we play
We work with dark materiel
Our daemons have their way

With growing up, our only crime
Down rabbit holes descend
Ink and paper have their time
The stories never end

As golden girls convene in clans,
with lost boys in the fold
Where Alice plots and Peter plans
… on never growing old
