a poem about summer
Ripples in the water,
as stones skip and trip and land,
amber glowing sunrays,
caress me with warm hands,

The twinkling sounds of laughter,
are heard across the way,
as children run so freely,
wild and carefree seize the day,

The scent of flowers dance around me,
on the gentle summer breeze,
sitting underneath the willows shade,
I hear the buzzing of the bees,

Looking out upon the water,
enchanting beauty that I trust,
how it sparkles and it glistens,
the suns reflection.. Fairy dust,

There is wonder all around me,
as my senses come alive,
there is nothing else quite like it,
that's the magic of summer time.
