Less goddess than monster
I still shall praise her pale
pretty face beneath pink cherry blossoms.
Daring boys to laugh,
taunting men to touch
she hides bloodied blades
in her hair.
This is no serene Mona Lisa,
but an anime icon
a trumped up punk
for the #metoo movement.
When the p-word (here kitty, kitty)
may be uttered in public
and porn stars
frolic on the six o'clock news
here cold world
is your perfect post-modern Madonna.

Author's Note: Harionago in Japenese mythology is a beautiful, though ghoulish female.
