Mirror, Mirror on the Wall

Soft creams and make-up beautified the Queen;
No longer was she fairest of them all.
One day, a young girl caused an ugly scene
With flowing black hair like a waterfall.

When magic spells revealed this girl had class,
Her youthful features stood out from the crowd.
It's she the Queen saw in her looking glass;
The sound of breaking mirror was so loud!
Even a queen must someday go to grass. *

* "Go to grass" is a British idiom, so I'm not sure if it's familiar to people from other nations, but it basically means to retire - "put to grass" like an old horse that can no longer work and now just stays grazing in the field all day.
