A young person questions their relationship with another.
I loved you with the intensity of a child
Before I could even utter my first words.
I craved you with every cell,
Vibrating to the tune of your voice.

I believed it would fade -
that age would bring maturity.
But you kept me locked in -
With every brush of your hand.

Maybe this is what love means;
To lose myself over and over
Forgetting that I exist
Forgetting to breathe.
