Its about my freshmen year.
Freshman Year at Dexter,
It felt like there were twists and knots in my stomach.
Having the feeling I would never get past freshman year.
Hiding in the shadows of the universe.
About to be lost in the black hole forever.
But something inside me sparked like fireworks.
Instead of feeling weak,
In that moment I felt strong.
Escaping the vacuum of the black hole.
Meeting my first highschool teacher.
It was my freshman Algebra teacher.
He was the first teacher that made me feel,
he cared about how I felt.
He was probably the easiest teacher to talk to.
If I struggled at all with any subject,
he would always try to help me.
Most of all he could make me laugh,
like I was on laughing gas.
It was one of the best moments.
I realized not all teachers are intimidating.
I realized in the end
I don’t have to let the shadows consume me,
I just got to be Brave.
