A poem of letting go
Imagine

Can you imagine I don’t want you there,
Imagine I’d rather be stripped of you, bare,
Imagine yourself as a partner-less pair,
Imagine the lonely a little less rare.

Imagine yourself in a victimless stare,
Imagine there’s no one to focus your glare,
Imagine there’s no one to notice, or care,
Imagine how long you have been unaware.

Try to see past all the tears you will Weep,
See all the winnings from all of your feats,
Throw away memories, Take what you’ll keep.
Burn all the thoughts that are making you weak.

Feel yourself well amidst all the sleep,
Watch as I slowly fade out of your dreams,
Further and further away I will sneak
Open your hands, and let go as I leave..

Imagine all new are the people you’ll meet
You’ll find a new love, despite all your beliefs,
Your heart will re-open, and begin to bleed,
Soon it will be only her that you’ll need.
