the constant need to be a helper but not knowing how
and if I knew enough words to describe how beautiful and wonderful you are I'd mention something for every star in the sky
but I'm slow
and my tongue is twisted, barely getting out much more than I love yous
and you say its okay but I know its not, because days get quieter, and our demons are getting louder
we shouldn't have to quietly sit around this fire
waiting for mass destruction

start a story
I'll tell you all the parts I'm sorry for

This is a deafening, but silent fight
but my hand is outstretched
waiting
my fingers twitching at the slightest breeze
hoping its your hand
only to grab nothing

its a 2 way street

I need it just as much as you
