Contest entry for August 19 sugar Cubes Random Weekly Contest
Form: Haiku

Incessant heat gives
Way to cooler days and nights.
What a pleasant change!

Harvest time begins.
Bounty will soon be gathered
In time for winter.

Pumpkins and apples
Seem to magically fill
Shelves in all the stores.

Leaves loosen their hold
From branches so very high
Then dance to the ground.

Fallen leaf mountains
Beckon to laughing children,
“Come jump!” Or “Let’s play!”

And, yummy pies smell
So delicious when baking
In Grandma’s oven!

Autumn landscapes of
Orange, yellow, green, red and brown
Are painted daily.

Snapshots of our life;
Memories in the making.
I love fall the best!
