He makes me feel like the luckiest woman alive but I still have my own insecurities
Being with you is a breath of fresh air,
Security, hope, and all that is fair and yet,
My head is confused by what my heart feels.
The way you make time stop is utterly unreal.
I can’t help but think you’re too good to be true, yet every second,
I’m consumed by thinking of you.
The way you smile when you look at me and how when we are together, you’re all I see!
My heart is conflicted by what my head feels.
The worry in my mind that I’ve opened up too fast,
And the unyielding yearning to make us last.
I can’t help but I feel I will push you away,
Like I do to everyone whom I want to stay..
these are the conflicts of my head and heart,
As we journey into our fresh new start
