Silent Servant

I suspect you do not know and cannot spell my name. Many thousands of you have seen me but yet have not for I am dressed in black and always silent.
I took up my duties in April of 1865 and have been called on thirty-four times since then. I proudly and quietly serve in your hours of deepest grief, holding your cherished heroes while you mourn. I am The Lincoln Catafalque.
