We're all caught in a nine to five, punching numbers, and pencil rolling loop.
Goodbye, Saturday
Goodbye, Sunday

Hello, Monday morning
Ugh, how I wish you were Sunday still

Hello, Tuesday
I seriously would love for you to be Friday now

Hello, Wednesday
Yeah, it's the middle of the week, I drone sarcastically.

We're almost there

Hello, Thursday
The weekend is fast approaching

Hello, Friday
You may be slow as I count the minutes
But by the end of the day, I rejoice
The weekend has come, and I get to play

Hello, Saturday
Sleep in if you can, but enjoy the brightness of day
Even if it rains, dance and be marry

Hello, Sunday
Be grateful and free, come together, and be with family and friends
Take a knee and pray for peace, love, and hope

As the night draws close, I can't help but say aloud,
"Please slow down now, the weekend is almost gone."
As I lay my head down to sleep, I'm overwhelmed with dread.

Tomorrow will be Monday, sigh.
I begrudgingly hit repeat.

Goodbye, Saturday
Goodbye, Sunday
I will see you again
