This is a piece about loving someone so much that the fear of losing them cripples me.
I dream of you. It repeats every night. Each dream is slightly different from the one before. I see you standing there happy. You reach for my hand. I try to grab it. You get sucked into oblivion. My tears drop to the ground. The world destroys itself. I wake up. My eyes are wide open, but yet I feel as if I never woke up. The fear, the pain haunts me to my core. Your essence left behind for me to grieve scares me to my bones. The power your absence has over my existence burdens my every breath.
