How The Light Gets In

Before this killer virus
Of some say Biblical Sin
Ran amok here, just to try us
Is How The Light Gets In

Spread all over faster
Just before the noisy din
On course for a disaster
How the Light Gets In

No warning we were seeing
Such a terror time begin
Or making plans for fleeing
No chance to Let Light In

It spread like fire unbidden
So quickly heads did spin
As Paul Revere had ridden

Perchance we've never woken
Letting Light Get in

Easily seen in hindsight
The chance we had to win
Even given blindsight
As We Let The Light In

Now as we bear the fallout
Defending our Kith and kin
Unless we hear them call out
To try and Let Light In

The task at hand is massive
Engage us from within
Remove anything passive
Choose to Let Light In

Unless we play it clever
No way we'll save our skin
This means we might never
