Poetry, When someone literally drops dead
It wasn't my plan
To die here this way,
To die here, today, No,
It wasn't my plan

It wasn't my plan
To leave all my boys
I wanted to be there
Through the sorrows and joys

It wasn't my plan Mom
To leave you now
Crying your eyes out asking
Where did I go wrong
W

It wasn't my plan to leave you now Dad,
I was grateful for things
you taught me even when I seemed mad

It wasn't my plan
to leave Grandma alone,
With no one to call her
Cause I always phone

I wanted to see
my boys in the band
And to watch my oldest son
Cook like no one else can

To be at their weddings
No matter who they chose
Because like the girls or not
They are my boys

It wasn't my plan
to leave my youngest at 3
Wondering what must
Have happened to Daddy

Please know when you read this
Know where I stand
Leaving you all alone
No, it wasn't my plan
