Sunrise

Heavens painted mango and peach
above storybook valleys and groves.
Poetic scenes, I dream, spinning
in whipped cream layers of clouds.

Yolk rising in the horizon
gilding the grass, fruits, and trees.
Streams and eyes glinting in sunlight
Becoming lemonade-bright by noon.
