From my mother's Satanist days in the early 90s
Author's Note: I'm working on a project where I comb through my mother's old work (she passed in 2015) and "co-write" them. I thought that it could be an interesting exercise, and I hope to someday publish the collection as a collaborative work. Any critique is much appreciated, I'm only a hobbyist. Thanks! -NightShift

A prowler, with patience,
I linger and scheme.
I watch you. I want you.
I trail you, unseen.
I am the shadow, the stalker,
the scream.

You’ll wander inside,
never sense my attack.
I’ll cling to your flesh,
sink my claws in your back.

You’ll scramble and shriek,
but you’ll slip through the cracks.
I'll snuff out your light,
and I'll shroud us in black.

Fear not damnation,
Fear not the dark,
Crash through the gates,
to ignite a new arc.
Fall to the flames.
Accept your mark.

Welcome to the fire,
my meek fertile mate.
A potential heir,
all of hell celebrates.

You won’t try to escape,
because now it’s too late.
You’ll realize, in vain,
that your mark sealed your fate.
