You promised me you would stop.
I can smell it all around me.I feel it filling up my lungs.It's your cigarette smoke.
I see the empty packets of cigaretes in the trash.I see the piles of ashes around the house.
I see you get mad when you can't find your lighter.You yell at me thinking I took it.
I see you wake up at all hours of the night to smoke.You made me a promise to quit smoking.
It hurts to see you still smoking years later.I remember you trying to find money to pay for your cigarettes.
You would always ask me if I had any money on me.I learned to say no when you would never pay me back.
