Need to Simplify for Writer's Cramp
Need to Simplify

Maria Lee and Sam Adams
Had been together
For almost 40 years,

Traveled all over the world
Just to call Gimpo, Korea
Their new home.

They both realized
They had too much stuff
Too many things.

And needed
A transformation
A clean sweep.

Taking advantage
Of moving to a new place
And selling their old place.

They got rid of half
Of their belongings
Donating books
To the library.

Donating kitchen stuff
To his brother-in-law
And his sister-in-law.

But still, they had
Just too much stuff
But it was a start
They said.

Looking at the new house
They declared their priorities
Would be to live their life fully
And not be tied down,
By all their material possessions
Which they can’t take with them
When all is said and done.

NEW PROMPT DUE 15 hours 22 minutes
According to one of my calendars, July 12 is "Simplicity" day. Write your story or poem about someone trying to simplify their life. How will they do that? Move to a smaller home? Declutter? Change jobs?

Tell us why they want to simplify their life, how they will do it, and include these words - bolded -

simplify
transformation
clean sweep
priorities
live fully
