Family Photos

It's that time of year
for family photos to be shot
but as usual
they all seem to have forgot

Mama in her curlers
brother has no socks
dad didn't shave and granny's in a smock

Now we have to hurry
to get ourselves prepared
now where is that camera
as if I really cared

The camera is ready
the time is so right
the ways things are going
we'll be here all night

Grandpa lost his glasses
Juniors lost his shoe
sister has the sneezes
and me, I have the flu

Next year will be better
I really hope it will
or we may be here forever
trying to get a picture still

Family photos can be nice
they can be rather fun
but if your family is like mine
you may never, ever get one
