Are my expectations too high?
Are my expectations too high?

I talk and talk and talk about the perfect guy,

But does he exist? Will he exist?

Probably never.

What are the expectations?

He must be nice.

Must be smart.

Must be tall.

A man who's mature makes them hot.

But if they're too serious,

They're not.

They're really not.

We compare each guy we date with,

With a guy from a fake world.

And when we do,

Our expectations grow higher and higher.

Watch as I cry,

My expectations crowding the judgement of good men.

The truth, to put it simply is,

We can't change them.

Men will be men.

None of them are perfect.

But I can still dream,

Of them filling our expectations perfectly.
