Can darkness be overcome by light? Or will light fade away?
Darkness can be dispersed
By only a solitary light;
Do not be afraid to be the light
To dispel the shadows.

Hatred is fanned higher by the same;
Do not add fuel to the fire -
Be the one to show forgiveness;
Even if not "deserved"

It makes no sense,
To our finite minds;
But the infinite wisdom
gives us peace beyond understanding.

As we observe the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr here in the US, write a STORY or POEM inspired by this quote from MLK -

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that."
(From Strength to Love, 1963)

You can use the quote if you choose (not required).
