An image of an empty beach chair stirs sad memories.
Katie Sings

In the sighing of the breeze
I still hear Katie sing.
Six years gone,
So long, so long
Yet Katie's voice
Is in the shushing of the waves
And in the whisper of the sand.

Through thirty years of love and life
Katie sang to me.
Six years gone,
One home, four kids,
And Katie's voice
Is in the rustle of the drapes
And in the creaking of the doors.

I can't forget a love so deep--
I still hear Katie sing.
New love has come
To fill my heart;
She understands and wipes my tears
When in the sighing of the breeze
I still hear Katie sing.
