Insomnia experience
As the night grows darker and still,
And the world around me drifts off to sleep,
I lay here, lost in my thoughts,
As my mind refuses to find peace.

The hours tick by, slow and long,
As I toss and turn in my bed,
The weight of exhaustion heavy on my chest,
But still, I can't seem to rest my head.

My eyes grow heavy, my body tired,
But my mind races on without end,
A never-ending cycle of worry and stress,
As I struggle to find a moment of zen.

The night seems to stretch on forever,
Each minute feeling like an hour,
As I long for the sweet release of slumber,
But my insomnia holds me in its power.

And so, I lay here in the darkness,
Lost in my thoughts and dreams,
Hoping that someday, somehow,
I'll find the peace that my mind so desperately needs
