Short poem of how masks are worn, hiding true self.
Masks

Sadness, pain, profound sorrow, loneliness
I hide them under a mask.
I'm seen, yet not
I'm surrounded, yet alone

Feelings of happiness, thrill, joy
Still I hold them under a mask,
I'm still seen, yet not,
I'm still surrounded, yet alone

So many masks,
One for each feeling
One for each person
One for each moment

Masks forced onto me at birth
Masks worn throughout my life
One final mask, The final death mask
It will be different for each eye that looks upon it
