Unable to keep up with the pace of climate change, scientists learn to keep cities afloat
Jakarta built a sea wall
But that was an early stage
Science was still progressing-
Turns out land was a human cage-

Buildings can float on water
People can swim to work
It’s one big aircraft carrier town
And that’s its only quirk

It defies the rules of science
Like an airplane defies the sky
A city-sized Titanic
Where thousands of people get by
