When Hope Seems To Have Fled
I have become yet again, another me,
added to a long list of personalities.
Some have stayed, others have fled,
and all have left remnants, be it good or bad.

So many experiences, too many to name,
happen without reason, happen without shame.
Such is life, the master of our fate,
a clay that sculpts us with our mistakes.

My life has been wrought with sorrow and pain,
leaving me restless, fighting to stay sane.
Among my lessons throughout the years,
I've found strength within the tears.

Hope can be fickle, hope can be fleeing,
but you must hang on for your own well-being.
It's an empty, dark world when hope is lost,
You'll find yourself in your own holocaust.

Dwell not on things that can't be changed,
Doing so will make you quite deranged.
Drop to your knees, call on the Lord,
speak His words, they are His sword.

Cry out to your Saviour, cry out loud,
ask Him to lift this hellish cloud.
When you rise up, do not rise askew,
be determined to nurture the better you.

I have become yet again, another me,
added to a long list of personalities.
Some have stayed, others have fled,
and all have left remnants, be it good or bad.
