Poetry in Action
Jagged peaks are swallowed
By the black and bubbling gloom
The thick, dense air grows heavy
With impending doom.

The Beast begins to growl,
As it begins to prowl
Lurking...
Waiting...
To shake the trees,
To scatter the leaves
To jolt the earth with EXPLODING force!

Its yellow eyes flashing,
Its frightening roars crashing,
Beware the thrashing claws
As it races across the sky -
Gnashing...
Snarling...
Snapping...
Growling -
Prowling -

Slowly, like a shadow it slips away,
And then it is gone.
And the world melts together
In a million drops of rain.
