The one most will make
THE LAST TRAIL

Saddle up one of those ponies,
And come along with me
I’ll take you on a real great trail,
That some may never see

The paths of life are many
This trail but a single one,
That takes you up to Heaven,
When your riding days are done

So saddle up that Cayuse,
Pick that big red roan
It’s not your turn to top the trail,
And he knows the way back home

Would you saddle please for me,
My old and faithful bay,
Cause I am the single cowboy,
That won’t be coming back today
