Angels are the messengers of gods, but sometimes angels are just allegories.
Sometimes, angels are just allegories.

The small child praised for being an angel due to her sweet personality. Her submissive and palatable nature.
The young girl awarded the title of angel because she follows and helps.
The tired boy called a 'Little Angel' because he is the glue that keeps all together.

Whether it be Arariel or Zagagel.
Whether it be Martha or James.
Whether it be young or old.

Sometimes, angels are just allegories.

A box that holds something deeper, if only you could find the key.
A card you have yet to open because the envelope is just too perfect.
A door you nailed shut because it made too much noise.

Angels serve a god.

Why do you call me angel?
What god do you expect me to serve?

The one that blighted,
The one that burned,
The one that buried?

The one that plucked,
The one that pilfered,
The one that plagued?

The one that hated,
The one that haunted,
The one that hissed?

Sometimes, angels are just allegories.

Stories to hide behind.
Lies to listen to.
Details to divide.
Successes to separate.

Sometimes, angels are just allegories.
